I’m a big dreamer and a big procrastinator. Yes, two gold stars!!
Aware that I’m extremely lucky to be thriving at this point in my life, I’m dancing on the beach before the tsunami that eventually catches most of us. Walking 2.6 to 3.16 miles a day, writing music, recording, coaching songwriting…and being grateful.
This week I haven’t finished the laundry, picked the okra and eggplants, or cleaned up the weaver’s shed that I call my woman cave. But oh, it’s been a fruitful week.
After over 41 years with Arthur, I’m learning that I can’t read his amazing mind… nor should I attempt it.
Clarity of intention and purpose matter in creativity and personal relationships. Often I’ll stop as I’m working on a new song and ask, “But what is the main idea?” Or “and why should I care?”
My wild mind, like yours, can scatter emotions and images like a lawn sprinkler.

The song becomes that hall closet so full of stuff you dare not open the door!

Ask yourselves what you are really trying to say. Clarity is a challenge and a huge gift.
